Early experiences with anxiety created a curiosity in me about the complexities of the human experience and ultimately drew me to the field of psychology. My professional experience in counselling began 10 years ago working with victims of domestic violence within early intervention programs, women's shelters, and safe visitation programs. I then transitioned to working with individuals affected by sexual abuse and trauma, both as a crisis counsellor and a court support counsellor.
After completing my Masters in Counselling Psychology I began working with adolescent females and their families in a specialized private practice. Throughout my experience working with families I have come to understand the necessity of working with all parts of the interpersonal system - we cannot heal on our own.
I consider it a gift and an honor to be invited into others' lives to help on the path of development and healing. My passion for this work is evident and I look forward to joining you on your journey to emotional health and wellbeing.
"When we are no longer able to change a situation we are challenged to change ourselves"

I am the very proud mother of two young daughters and step mother of two adolescent daughters. While the experience of motherhood has been incredibly humbling and inspiring, the challenges of parenthood have helped me become even more understanding and compassionate towards others.
The bond between parent and child informs me a great deal and has solidified my connection to the field of attachment theory in terms of how our early relationships form a foundation for all future relationships. One of the most rewarding part of my job is helping reconnect and strengthen the bond between parent and child - through identifying what is getting in the way and processing through it within a safe and genuine therapeutic relationship.
